Did you know...?
In medieval times people in medieval Europe did not use the same calendar we use today. While the Julian Calender had much in common with our calender, the Gregorian Calender we use today wasn't introduced until the 16th century.

"This agreement fulfills a number of strategic objectives," said Mark Rein-Hagen, President and CEO of White Wolf. "Atlas is well known and well thought of by its’ loyal client base. The addition it brings Ars Magica 'back home' to White Wolf. I'm really looking forward to getting Ars Magica back, we have big plans for it."

Trident/Atlas President John Nephew said the fact his company and White Wolf have such a long history was a big factor in the decision accept the deal with them. We felt we found an excellent strategic fit where the increased resources of being part of larger company will allow us to produce more and better games for consumers, said Mr. Nephew, who will remain with White Wolf as a Vice President and leader of the Michigan business unit. The types business we do fit well together, our competencies and skill sets matched up and most important for me, I felt White Wolf’s open culture and work environment meshed well with Atlas' culture.

White Wolf has claims that consumers will experience minimal interruption as a result of the take-over. Mr. Reign-Hagen "There will be minimal interruption of service for consumers as a result of this deal," says Mr. Reign-Hagen, "All previously announced Atlas projects will be released, but there will be some delays as the products are reedited to bring them the White Wolf standards."

When asked about the future, Mr. Reign-Hagen says "We are very excited about the future of these games, especially Ars Magica. We are planning on closely integrating it with our existing World of Darkness games. We are already planning a new edition for both Ars Magica and the whole of the World of Darkness games that will allow us to streamline the game mechanics, taking the best elements for each."

Mr. Reign-Hagen further adds "We will be very aggressive in marketing Ars Magica, with a minimum of 18 supplements in the first year alone. Expect to see the long awaited completion of the Tribunal series, as well as House books for each of the twelve Houses of Hermes (as well as two new houses), and also a revised source book on each of the major Powers in the game, a third edition of Faeries, second editions of both Pax Dei and Malfactium, a new book covering all forms of non-Hermetic magic and a new book reintroducing Reason."
