ou know, rules have feelings, too. Really. You should not hurt them. Of course all rules systems of a certain complexity, such as Ars Magica with all its supplements have loop holes. But do you really need to exploit them like this? Well, here's a list of examples that really happend - read in horror, disgust, or good humor - whatever applies to you. But have fun!
- La combo a Julien:
Cursed: "Wounded in every combat." and Berserk. The character goes berserk whenever he is wounded... Some flaws simply are no flaws..
- Lycopodium-Inferno:
A Creo-Herbam spell, level 10, Range: personal, Duration:concentration, Target: sight. Covers everything in sight with a one finger thick cover of fluffy lycopodium seeds. A decent anti fire charm applied before use is recommended. Then spont a simple fire spell... Inferno of flames guaranteed.
- Absurd Hedgewizardry:
Ok, so my cunning man makes a charm that grants a virtue: Looks like a wand and can throw pilums of fire...
- Ashes to ashes...:
How about the +10-Virtue "magical item", Form: Muto Corpus (Animal), Effect: Turns the use for constant duration into a fire breathing dragon. Oh, well, your local Flambeau archmage might like that.
- Stealth bomber á la Mythic Europe:
You need: 1 Bjornaer-Magus, Heartbeast Hawk (+2), Creo-Auram-specialist, Affinity with weather effects (+2), quite magic (+2), subtle magic (+2), mastered spells (+1), gentle gift (+1). All XP for arts are spent on Creo and Auram (equally distributed), the rest for Perdo and Imaginem. Skills: affinity, Parma, Finesse, Penetration. Mastered spells: Veil of invisibility, Incantation of Lightning. And that's the mythic stealth bomber - at character creation!
