he following is a list of rules and guidelines that apply for all contests we hold. Please be sure to read them and make sure you understand them all. If you have questions concerning the rules, feel free to contact us. Thank you.
- First and most important rule: Make absolutely sure that you have the copyright for all material that you submit. If you want to quote something, keep the quote to the neccessary extent and give full references for the quote.
- Only submissions made and published under your real name will enter the contest. We are sorry, but we have to reject submissions made under pseudonym.
- For contests we only accept original material, meaning, articles that have not been published before. You may publish your submission elsewhere once we published them on your contest site, but don't publish contributions before we do.
- By submitting your entry to our contest you agree to give Projekt: Ars-Magica.Net the rights to publish your submission on its website for unlimited time and in all languages the site offers. You may publish your submissions on other sites or in other kinds of media once we published it. But you may not give any third party exclusive rights. (Exceptions to this rule may be made on request when Atlas Games is interested in using your submission.)
- Entries may be made in English and German. If you speak both languages we'd appreciate submissions in both languages, but you are in no way obliged to translate your submission.
- Keep in mind that contest submissions are meant to be published on a web site. Unless the contest description states something different, keep you submissions to moderate size. As a rule of thumb anything between 500 and 1000 words is ok, but we won't be strict on that one.
- All submission will be reviewed and judged by a jury. Winning entries will be published on the website as soon as possible.
- Winners get to pick from a pool of prizes in the order the jury places their entries: First winner picks first, second winner picks second and so on.
- Not winning entries may get published anyway; the authors of those entries take part in the corresponding seasonal drawing.
- The authors of winning entries may request an email address at one of our Ars Magica domains. These may be simple mail forwards or POP3 accounts, your choice. More details on this will be emailed to winning authors.
