However the facts known give us a general idea of life conditions in the middle ages.
n the last decades a growing number of historians have dedicated their research to discovering the day-to-day life of the medieval common man. A number of books of varying quality and readability have been published on the subject. In addition a growing number of associations and clubs as well as re-enactment groups have been founded dedicated to the middle ages and the life of medieval people, and some of these present their results and ideas on conventions and on the net.
e are trying to collect and present a number of articles that concentrate on specific details of medieval life, such as a certain craft or even a specific item. These articles are not meant for scholary research, but while they do not claim perfect historical correctness, we try to avoid obvious mistakes.
